I hope to have a browse in a few weeks time at all your blogs, but until then, take care and happy crafting. Hugs. Katy. xxx<br />
P.S. I will come back and add my card for last weeks C.I challenge over the next week. </div>Katyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15992401880038749221noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6104431737317652020.post-6381397549061013282011-06-15T00:00:00.000+01:002011-06-15T00:00:01.879+01:00Blue, Green and.... I choose turquoise!<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hi everyone! I hope you're getting a bit of sun now, we've started to, and it's making me feel so much happier! What a difference some rays make! It always gives me a creative boost too, so I feel a bit happier with this weeks card than some of my more recent cards.<br />
<br />
This week the theme at CIWC is Green, Blue, and one other colour of your choice. I had my mermaid Tilda in mind and was struggling between purple and turquoise but then remembered I had some fab turquoise flowers so had to add turquoise as my colour of choice! Here's the result, I hope you like it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_cZrpE0PLwEX2hjILQr5ZuH8OrVjAuPCMAqx4gu2VQhNZ2853EIPq7d-wYpKTHASS1vg_F4E3x_eh1djYLN-vZEL4s1TPAlRU9pi3iXySdl7njIwGyR-bKHbk_ZCI9dGvIQUbh57uE_A/s1600/IMAG0086.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="378" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_cZrpE0PLwEX2hjILQr5ZuH8OrVjAuPCMAqx4gu2VQhNZ2853EIPq7d-wYpKTHASS1vg_F4E3x_eh1djYLN-vZEL4s1TPAlRU9pi3iXySdl7njIwGyR-bKHbk_ZCI9dGvIQUbh57uE_A/s400/IMAG0086.jpg" t8="true" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The papers are a mix of My Minds Eye, DCWV and Prima. There's also some coredinations gemstone on the scalloped circle!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">There are clear stones and pearls dotted here and there too, and blue tulle under the flowers.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2ONanFL74xSMj_w6TTKGLIjx46SE3UFPXp_qR7L_LYJMQd-SBPsZyEHXfEHuzmYc2LGUQGT39_EhfDC9bEO5sM-FQEf6Ld8HsDAi461X9_dnM6d9B12tTFB-OaoUZOMeUVhmDYEIBSNM/s1600/IMAG0088.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh2ONanFL74xSMj_w6TTKGLIjx46SE3UFPXp_qR7L_LYJMQd-SBPsZyEHXfEHuzmYc2LGUQGT39_EhfDC9bEO5sM-FQEf6Ld8HsDAi461X9_dnM6d9B12tTFB-OaoUZOMeUVhmDYEIBSNM/s320/IMAG0088.jpg" t8="true" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">And here's the fab flowers! I still need some work on my arrangements of flowers. The tulips and the open flowers are from Magnolia, the rose buds and cherry blossoms are WOC and those fabby daisies are Kort and Godt from Joanna Sheen's website (lush!). I spritzed them all with cosmic shimmer pearls watered into a glimmer mist, and then added some stardust stickles for extra bling!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil1YOQaPA_JC_K53mCaEuVVNvuIvTmpus2yYV8I5vH2YwmWzlBL8JGOkwuLqW9rRZx8LMAnzEftgpmUEqXJVONXHWILQBfobajXT5Irh8z8Had4g7XJyr8A9RXloSpWg1ZO3KZDQ4zImY/s1600/IMAG0090.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="241" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEil1YOQaPA_JC_K53mCaEuVVNvuIvTmpus2yYV8I5vH2YwmWzlBL8JGOkwuLqW9rRZx8LMAnzEftgpmUEqXJVONXHWILQBfobajXT5Irh8z8Had4g7XJyr8A9RXloSpWg1ZO3KZDQ4zImY/s320/IMAG0090.jpg" t8="true" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The sentiment is Magnolia, and it is heat embossed with aura sea breeze embossing powder.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKZ2zZB49Av6M56MJRyp56Old9G3-8mfexx8M1aN0A8CAiSnr760W8UZ0NRcOyNUKN34IZ-f_THz3i5LZJMHkjGaPZG61MdNcT7rjUYBAcZbovyg-BQg8KDrzRULFjtRgsuL1IvA6ZjMI/s1600/IMAG0091.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKZ2zZB49Av6M56MJRyp56Old9G3-8mfexx8M1aN0A8CAiSnr760W8UZ0NRcOyNUKN34IZ-f_THz3i5LZJMHkjGaPZG61MdNcT7rjUYBAcZbovyg-BQg8KDrzRULFjtRgsuL1IvA6ZjMI/s320/IMAG0091.jpg" t8="true" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">As always, Tilda is coloured with DIs. Her tail is painted over with cosmic shimmer pearls into a paste, and then stardust stickles. The bubbles are raised with 3D gloss</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I think that's everything! I'll pop back later with any challenges she fits into! But until then, Bye for now! And as always if you have time to say hi and leave a comment, I am always grateful, and will make sure I pop over to your blog and say hi!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hugs and crafting merriment!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Sorry for the delay in posting this, have had a hectic week! I have some more news... Caz from the Paperlane invited me to be a member of their design team too, and after about a second to think of course I said YES! So will be beginning to do some bits and pieces for The Paperlane too! Yey!<br />
<br />
This week the theme at CIWC is cards for men, I've had this little Edwin for a while now and thought I'd give him a whirl, here's the result!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNU2S7dSMpInnaAXATcuEIpfl7TmNlkd8WS5V6NfX70EP_lcpr1O4W-SB5JsBlJULBppgVcwy0w9mDhC83AoOB3xM9ZOMFRASimC6Whu07_mG78Err8rMts6l9565_zLUmrX2WoqG2TIo/s1600/IMAG0080.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNU2S7dSMpInnaAXATcuEIpfl7TmNlkd8WS5V6NfX70EP_lcpr1O4W-SB5JsBlJULBppgVcwy0w9mDhC83AoOB3xM9ZOMFRASimC6Whu07_mG78Err8rMts6l9565_zLUmrX2WoqG2TIo/s320/IMAG0080.jpg" t8="true" width="314" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The DP's are Maja design (apart from the texted print which is Magnolia distressed with antique linen DI)</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid0HkS4T4niQkTzZqqjKP06O0QgDvEFdga6GKjkxXvQBuvSFLmAvtJA2qWnuLc_qLZLmBXDGWCffyrbz3SJWwdWHtScsL_MoWAB4yJtRzYQFOa5QL2-7gERGLM1DXnwNB-rGLpfCedgL8/s1600/IMAG0081.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid0HkS4T4niQkTzZqqjKP06O0QgDvEFdga6GKjkxXvQBuvSFLmAvtJA2qWnuLc_qLZLmBXDGWCffyrbz3SJWwdWHtScsL_MoWAB4yJtRzYQFOa5QL2-7gERGLM1DXnwNB-rGLpfCedgL8/s320/IMAG0081.jpg" t8="true" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">As always Edwin is coloured with DIs. I've used water colour paper for a change, and have to admit the colouring does turn out better on water colour paper. The swirls and corner stamps are from Stempelgledes grunge collection</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK7FumF-pICsHG5smbIUUlunMcVbFdrxl1BK3HZ_r8_Vxi8uyCO1j2rThbkCA7eNpswN5TnriCzj5Bziz4op2ncepriNHr-ztQ9H-itKIkRNkCHvFLOAmeQailneAk3mRmReseYlxNt1M/s1600/IMAG0082.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjK7FumF-pICsHG5smbIUUlunMcVbFdrxl1BK3HZ_r8_Vxi8uyCO1j2rThbkCA7eNpswN5TnriCzj5Bziz4op2ncepriNHr-ztQ9H-itKIkRNkCHvFLOAmeQailneAk3mRmReseYlxNt1M/s320/IMAG0082.jpg" t8="true" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The stars were donated from a friends redundant craft cupboard and were gold. I've painted them with picket fence crackle paint and left some gold peeking through!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hope you like him, I might add a sentiment at a later date!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The challenges I have entered with this card are:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://craftuscrazy.blogspot.com/">Craft Us Crazy:</a> Masculine/Fathers day</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.com/">Fab n Funky:</a> Magnificent men</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://magnoliastamplovers.blogspot.com/">Magnolia Stamp Lovers</a>: Anything goes</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

And sorry for the poor photo quality!<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hi everyone! How are you all? Hope you are all feeling a bit rested if you've had a bank holiday weekend? I managed to get us lost on Monday, but you know, it all added to the fun and by the end of it we were in stitches!<br />
<br />
This week the theme at CIWC is no people, cute animals only....<br />
<br />
Here's mine for this week: Sorry for the poor pictures, I'm using my new phone and haven't quite got the hang of it! It insisted on using the flash despite me turning it off!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrJJWySdYb9ibCIciaHGgFcmXKO2O597N8RAuyg5JnmQe3FLbw-tZTRC78I7HyWvMibmbJa5HFCrrxQN36auhrBVJtJXfvlx_YumtNRgygSsLfsFujWTyOp3jxpzOqIb6gd8HbyGphMWc/s1600/IMAG0066.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="296" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrJJWySdYb9ibCIciaHGgFcmXKO2O597N8RAuyg5JnmQe3FLbw-tZTRC78I7HyWvMibmbJa5HFCrrxQN36auhrBVJtJXfvlx_YumtNRgygSsLfsFujWTyOp3jxpzOqIb6gd8HbyGphMWc/s320/IMAG0066.jpg" t8="true" width="320" /></a></div><br />
The image is a digi from Tickled Pink Stamps, he was on as a freebie before Xmas and I couldn't resist!<br />
The papers are from The Paperlane, and are backed in black card . I love the colours. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCJrBdSlLYo3UMOWcZb4g0sTtMtEoTvKXn4_P_nQuXw9O2W2HCZypmeBZHuk_eNQZipDaqZRHvN4PbvQG3JJ7ngUSYk4MPMIQ4HmDLfKo3el8osxuFqT3k9PNSkHt64fJORpm4Dhfcifs/s1600/IMAG0069.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCJrBdSlLYo3UMOWcZb4g0sTtMtEoTvKXn4_P_nQuXw9O2W2HCZypmeBZHuk_eNQZipDaqZRHvN4PbvQG3JJ7ngUSYk4MPMIQ4HmDLfKo3el8osxuFqT3k9PNSkHt64fJORpm4Dhfcifs/s320/IMAG0069.jpg" t8="true" width="241" /></a></div><br />
I'm really not sure about the colouring. Because it was such a lot of brown I used my brown copic pen and the blending copic, but think it might be a bit dark... Let me know what you think. The rest is all distress inks.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU_8hpdObUz8GdYFzT3NzJ7Z2GG4Cy3SMVu3HxJ_5sf8RhV9M1gT1mxnZhPYTFG_1wav9FBTaFgdAh7ZcjSXUrRokCwZdVWYKQWkxnGawdOAslzdQgTR1Ue2oc-pT6rqit7K3H60B7t88/s1600/IMAG0072.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="283" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU_8hpdObUz8GdYFzT3NzJ7Z2GG4Cy3SMVu3HxJ_5sf8RhV9M1gT1mxnZhPYTFG_1wav9FBTaFgdAh7ZcjSXUrRokCwZdVWYKQWkxnGawdOAslzdQgTR1Ue2oc-pT6rqit7K3H60B7t88/s320/IMAG0072.jpg" t8="true" width="320" /></a></div><br />
See what I mean about the flash?! Seriously! The ribbon is East of India, and the lace is from Hobbycraft. <br />
<br />

This week at Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge we're challenging you to use die cuts and punches. I have wanted to try out a tent card for a while so opted for this this week. The outcome isn't exactly how I envisaged it so if anyone has any hints or tips on how to do these better than this please let me know!<br />

So if you can, spread the word! Lol!<br />
Peter's doing much better this week , he's eating normally now which is good as before he was only managing half a bowl of soup in total for a full day. :(<br />
<br />
This week I got the chance to play with one of my new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps - I adore these, they're inspired by Grease I think. The one I've used today is Called "Danny". The minute I saw hime I knew I had to have him, my dad has had bikes for years, and recently as he's getting older he swapped his VFR racing bike for a classic - A Triumph Bonneville. I think the bike Danny has here looks just like it so this card will be going to my dad! <br />

This week at CI wednesday challenge we are to make anything but a square card. I've seen some fab templates out there, tea pots, aprons, butterflies etc. but with everything that's happened this week I plumped for the simplest choice and made a scalloped circle easel card...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Uy8XgNsEQXCrwPUfC2USwlL5UgNgZWxIc4a_1Z6xHdmV_nczZCy_jhRoSHiS3P7vpfEvXQpyNNEzgQmWDO-FiKe_mPJAk8UvFPnFe7MqM6N2fnn6el1iAwo1iCou0AoRH3CwCC8P6LA/s1600/Photo0299.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Uy8XgNsEQXCrwPUfC2USwlL5UgNgZWxIc4a_1Z6xHdmV_nczZCy_jhRoSHiS3P7vpfEvXQpyNNEzgQmWDO-FiKe_mPJAk8UvFPnFe7MqM6N2fnn6el1iAwo1iCou0AoRH3CwCC8P6LA/s400/Photo0299.jpg" width="288" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">We are sponsored this week by Sassy Studios and were given their digi images to use - this little cutie is Victorian and she just reminds me of Cinderella or similar fairytale princesses. I think I'll use her again as my friend loves Pride and Prejudice and I think she would make a lovely Elizabeth Bennet!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHIOFSNVzy-TQ_Vi0AmOD9JkNn9_I-MNWvOgR_t8U9ved4yCIXoSNN5zpBxYBtH3Exqv9M5wDOCLKAdi1CSBnGWurq98lq4z1SGVOvcNpDwfx3aaCxPUntycuKOcDg3lxU_1vlEp5yfY0/s1600/Photo0300.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHIOFSNVzy-TQ_Vi0AmOD9JkNn9_I-MNWvOgR_t8U9ved4yCIXoSNN5zpBxYBtH3Exqv9M5wDOCLKAdi1CSBnGWurq98lq4z1SGVOvcNpDwfx3aaCxPUntycuKOcDg3lxU_1vlEp5yfY0/s320/Photo0300.jpg" width="263" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The brilliant thing about digis is that you can resize them - I don't think this card would have been big enough for my full size Maggies, although I did sneak a Magnolia sentiment in! Lol! The card was made with my scalloped nesties - the largest size I had. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4nSDYt-c6BGbGQW54gOOnQ6jomKfOX5EHNs0326goX9Sq56rgcCbIfGCGbDingmzcNK13ewB6NHYra2XLCEFQV4MGAWNbeXpabRCBJl1n3FZVeerggqpYuX4RyTxXG8a8XRvUvZ2_ky4/s1600/Photo0301.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4nSDYt-c6BGbGQW54gOOnQ6jomKfOX5EHNs0326goX9Sq56rgcCbIfGCGbDingmzcNK13ewB6NHYra2XLCEFQV4MGAWNbeXpabRCBJl1n3FZVeerggqpYuX4RyTxXG8a8XRvUvZ2_ky4/s320/Photo0301.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I LOVE these flowers! The one in the centre is a new Magnolia purchase (shhhh) from <a href="http://www.thecraftzboutique.com/catalog/flowers-c-113.html?page=9&filter_id=159&amp;sort=3a&sort=3a">The Craftz Boutique</a> Magnolia flowers are more expensive than WOC but I just fell in love with these. The stamens are wire too so you can manipulate them into shape where you want them. The dahlias and rose buds are from WOC (love these too!)</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTkm93Hfnsp3k8isFPQHnWEdlogk1lbnp0N0JfJvJu_kY4B-tNmvXu_I93c_7LtqdBkAgff3iZ8p52xiEpNMngL5O0Mrfc5W-RD50AS5IXrkvBe0UhD9sHdAKvDQFdgoCZW42ENyvYa9k/s1600/Photo0302.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTkm93Hfnsp3k8isFPQHnWEdlogk1lbnp0N0JfJvJu_kY4B-tNmvXu_I93c_7LtqdBkAgff3iZ8p52xiEpNMngL5O0Mrfc5W-RD50AS5IXrkvBe0UhD9sHdAKvDQFdgoCZW42ENyvYa9k/s320/Photo0302.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The top and bottom of the card are laid out exactly the same. White cardstock, then Magnolias "Something Blue" (wedding collection) and "love letter" (so special collection). All edges are distressed with walnut stain DIs and stickle stardust. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4CcfT7YyIQImddrAdxYHcH8GPdEvf3dwTXSsbC8rLj2ZaPXJCPgxp2_GsPpFggkVxQwRSC6q69ojH3pCeMi6b63iopUbonkNVqpxRj9ONOgwL31kUzEdSANcN3UX8cNFKAsZTH5M9r3I/s1600/Photo0304.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="312" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4CcfT7YyIQImddrAdxYHcH8GPdEvf3dwTXSsbC8rLj2ZaPXJCPgxp2_GsPpFggkVxQwRSC6q69ojH3pCeMi6b63iopUbonkNVqpxRj9ONOgwL31kUzEdSANcN3UX8cNFKAsZTH5M9r3I/s320/Photo0304.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">A quick pic of closed card</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnMFPXSADEswHUMPhAgp3v78N3Mg2ZnN2a3Ltb1-zu0XGrnAwg_RRCIMpLDtoFoChMdIiWTqi5CU33tPIsdvJTS2YsVDInKXnhb32rMa8PQB3Cxu3015YSeHjyptnriR8mmPywOlvTPjo/s1600/Photo0306.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnMFPXSADEswHUMPhAgp3v78N3Mg2ZnN2a3Ltb1-zu0XGrnAwg_RRCIMpLDtoFoChMdIiWTqi5CU33tPIsdvJTS2YsVDInKXnhb32rMa8PQB3Cxu3015YSeHjyptnriR8mmPywOlvTPjo/s320/Photo0306.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The image is coloured with distress inks (DIs) as always and I've used stardust stickles on the pleats of her dress. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I know last week I said I didn't have any news for you, well that wasn't strictly true. Peter (my other half) had been moping around the house for over a week with a sore throat. We'd been the doc's (I needed to go as he couldn't talk to explain why we were there!) and he'd been told he had excess fluid and to take antibiotics for a week and return the week after that. So that was last week.</div>He was grumpy and was making a mess in the house which I was having to clear up when I got in from work, as well as all the other bits n peices (making dinner, hoovering, washing, ironing, lunch box etc) and to be honest when I went to work on Monday I had a bit of a whinge about him being a typical bloke and complaining about a sore throat - come 2am Tuesday morning I was eating my words! He woke me up as he could barely breath and he was unable to drink even the smallest amount of liquid. I dashed him to A&E to be reprimanded for going there with a sore throat initially but then once the doc had looked at him he told us Peter would need his throat syringing as he had Quinsy... So a couple of syringes full of manky smelly puss were taken from inside his throat and he was kept in overnight while they gave him IV antibiotics and ordered him to eat and drink as much as he physically could. I have to say I felt terrible for moaning about him, and have been on a guilt trip all week! Phew, it's cathartic to get the guilt off of my chest! Lol! He's still not feeling too great and he has practically a pharmacy of meds but at least we know what the problem was.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;"><br />

I know I announced my blog candy win last week, but I have had no response from the winner, if I don't hear from the winner drawn last week by the end of day tomorrow, I will draw the candy again. Most of the entrants were not followers, so will probably not look here again to check this, so I will start it again using comments added below this post to draw a new winner next week. If I do hear from last weeks winner I will add a new mystery candy for the new draw to save wasting anyones time! <br />
<strong>If you would like to be considered please put <u>"candy"</u> at the end of your post to save me time as I don't know how to use mr linky yet- <u>I will not include you in the draw without this. </u></strong><br />
I will still add a little something else once I get to 50 followers, so if you spread the word there'll be another opportunity to grab a freebie!<br />

Firstly, to thank Cebelica for awarding me this wonderful blog award:<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">As with other awards, this award has some rules. And these are:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">1.) I need to thank the person who gave me this award: Thank you <a href="http://crafty-little-bee.blogspot.com/">Cebelica</a>! And please to everyone else, check out her wonderful blog! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">2.) I need to write 7 things about myself. </div><ol style="text-align: left;"><li>I spend half of my entire card making time just colouring the images, it usually takes me at least an hour to feel happy with the colouring!</li>
<li>I would love my own horse - ambitious I know but I can dream can't i?!</li>
<li>I have a terrible sense of direction - and often get lost, even with sat nav.</li>
<li>I am left handed.</li>
<li>My favourite colour combination on cards is blue and brown</li>
<li>I LOVE crisps- I could eat an entire multipack in one go if Peter doesn't hide them!</li>
<li>I have named my sat nav guy "Shane" - he's Irish! Love it! </li>
</ol><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">3.) I have to pass this award to 15 bloggers and let them now they received this award from me.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I would like to pass this on to:</div><ol><li><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://angel4031.blogspot.com/">Caroline</a></div></li>

I would also like to say "Hi" and thank you to my new followers - I now have 41 - huzzah! I will add another candy up when I get to 50! (followers that is - not the age, you'd be waiting a couple of years yet!)<br />
<br />
Did anyone get chance to think if they and/or their other half's name their cars? I'm really keen to know if this is just me... ;-)<br />
<br />
Aaaaanywaaay, this weeks challenge at CI Wednesday challenge Blog is all about "in the garden", and after feeling I had nothing to go with the theme I was a bit naughty (Peter does not know I've bought more card stuff) and purchased some digis from <a href="http://www.makeitcrafty.com.au/card-making/categories/Digital-Stamps/The-Secret-Garden">Make it Crafty</a> - the daffodil dell, and ivy tree swing (LOVE these!). I'm not usually a huge fan of digis coz it's a hassle to link my laptop up and rummage for paper that will go through, but these are definately worth the effort - I hope you agree! I played with them a bit until I could get them to sit nicely together.<br />

How is everyone this week? I'm having a dandy time - much improved on the last few (apart from losing wii monopoly several times this week! Lol!).<br />
Been catching up on some DVD's this week, the Imbetweeners - hilarious! Lucky number Sleven (awesome film - definately a must see) and Once - which is a bit arty but also very good. If anyone has any films they recommend I'd be very grateful for the heads up!<br />
Apart from that this week I've also had the debate with my boyf about naming cars...He doesn't... I have named every car I've ever had (a short list of three including my most recent one). The first was Betty Blue, the second Roxy and my new car is Owen (due to number plate determination I'm afraid!). Is this a girl thing? If so just out of interest what do you call your car? And does your other half have a name for theirs too?<br />
<br />
Well onto this weeks card. We were given the challenge of using "stripes" on our projects this week, and as you know I've had a few Magnolias in storage awaiting inking so had to give Tilda with small gift from the 2011 collection a try. Here's what I came up with...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVNIex8da7xDuye_hxzxSG17L6r78vkdwVvsPk6yP3vBbQGSN3S4isgXmbe_eDgTDVn9JVvU1lD1Cg7lG2A6HkZrdut_QA1cvQhWgP0PS4noYm_WhhvkL6ZDEbi_3gErxXxIub-VbzlzE/s1600/Photo0271.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="313" j6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVNIex8da7xDuye_hxzxSG17L6r78vkdwVvsPk6yP3vBbQGSN3S4isgXmbe_eDgTDVn9JVvU1lD1Cg7lG2A6HkZrdut_QA1cvQhWgP0PS4noYm_WhhvkL6ZDEbi_3gErxXxIub-VbzlzE/s320/Photo0271.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I distressed all of the edges with a distressing tool and inked with walnut stain </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">and then stitched. The papers in the background and stripes are from K and Co, the centre square is Old Book by magnolia. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The sentiment is from a whimsy sentiment set and reads "sending you a gift from the heart on your special day". The metal heart is from the Paperlane in Northallerton and is mounted with 3D foam pads.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQqVd9zyZN7EcqXbLEXZ_yQqEn_LUmQjcHIUlZiI9YlZrPTr3WfBxR748jt_jwPMPQPuFRaqDQabpa6mvZYpilSKv4YfgPw__k-AyFcOkEBvj0gcp_AEGTrsbw9a2_rspBt6WvYIal7Qk/s1600/Photo0272.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" j6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQqVd9zyZN7EcqXbLEXZ_yQqEn_LUmQjcHIUlZiI9YlZrPTr3WfBxR748jt_jwPMPQPuFRaqDQabpa6mvZYpilSKv4YfgPw__k-AyFcOkEBvj0gcp_AEGTrsbw9a2_rspBt6WvYIal7Qk/s320/Photo0272.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tilda as always is coloured with DI's. I used a blended combination of fired brick and black soot for her dress to match the backing papers. There's white gel pen on here too to bring out the little flowery spots. I've used diamond stickles underneath, but this isn't clear from the photo.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtDmVfxHoruw90VcrNLPuTqzjFL0x5rB76uaRpxMGgk-RtW9-C7K0lJhngl03rgDbWVy2i8dvLfWGvw1Q2pFBf0LqMJJaLUNW278Xus0SNPQASU5ow6CrgSjdNa-BcuDf5oA0zWnE0y5M/s1600/Photo0273.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" j6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtDmVfxHoruw90VcrNLPuTqzjFL0x5rB76uaRpxMGgk-RtW9-C7K0lJhngl03rgDbWVy2i8dvLfWGvw1Q2pFBf0LqMJJaLUNW278Xus0SNPQASU5ow6CrgSjdNa-BcuDf5oA0zWnE0y5M/s320/Photo0273.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The large flower underneath the rose was part of a gift from the lovely Mona from CI - thanks sweetie! The other flowers are all wild orchid crafts, but I've distressed them with walnut stain (large rose) and fired brick (dahlias). I've also added diamond stickles on these. The pearls are made with salmon viva decor pearl pen. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I really hope you like her!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Not sure I like this one...Is it missing something?<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Hi everyone! Buckle up this is a long post! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have as much of a clumsy week this week - everything went wrong last week. I nearly landed in the pond, I banged my hip on the table about 50 times (huge bruise now), I kept forgetting to take things I needed with me at work so had to keep going back down to get them, and finally I needed to finish work bang on time on Friday to collect my car from the garage and ended up being 2 hours later than usual... Phew! Glad that week is over and now hopefully with car restored and this weeks card sort of finished I can chill! <br />
<br />
I have to say the highlight of my week has been watching Madagascar (the wildlife show, not the cartoon - although this too is excellent!). The colours and beauty are remarkable and I have to say I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to wildlife documentries, has anyone else been watching? I needed this to take my mind off the unremarkable episodes of Eastenders which I've been enduring in the hope they'll pick up - no such luck. <br />
<br />
Right ranting over, here's this weeks card! The challenge at CI this week is "Clean and Simple", so no more than 2 design papers on your work please and embellishments to a minimum! I found this really hard as I wanted to cover this card with flowers, gems and pearls but had to hold back. I might add to it once the challenge is over! Lol! Let me know what you think anyway, I'm not used to my cards being so plain. <br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The frame is cut with nesties out of white doodlebug cardstock which I covered in yellow chalk, edged with walnut stain and stardust stickles. The text is printed off my PC, and then I used red and yellow chalks on this. </div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tilda as always is coloured with distress inks. I used a LOT of clearstar gel pen and stardust stickles on her, but it's not showing up well on photos, there's a better one of this below. </div><br />

Well I think the reason I was feeling poorly the week before last was that I was coming down with a horrendous cold... It emerged a couple of days after we got back from London and hasn't quite gone yet (cough splutter!). Luckily though my motivation isn't badly affected this time so I'm back to crafting this week and managed to use another magnolia stamp which always helps to perk me up a bit! I've got some still in their wrappers waiting to be used, I'm desperate to ink them up but really don't have time at the moment to do more than one card a week, so I'll have to be patient! (plus I think if I spend more time than I already do on cards I might find myself single!)<br />
<br />
This week at CI Nat provided us with the most gorgeous sketch to work with, and on first sight it screamed "fan" at me for the semi circle piece, so I thought spanish Tilda would work well. <br />

I had a really lovely time in London, we went to see Blood Brothers and Ghost Stories while we were there which were both excellent, so that was the highlight, although the hotel had a pool, sauna and steam room so I had to make daily use of that too! All in all I've been utterly spoiled by my lovely Peter - I even managed to get the coat I'd been hankering after for Christmas in the sale 70% off!!!!! Now that can't be bad! I have to say though that no matter how lovely it was for a visit I was ready to come back home after a week... I guess the trip has just confirmed I'm a quiet country girl at heart! <br />
<br />
Well despite being rested and recharged, I'm afraid my mojo still isn't up to much in the old card making stakes... The CI challenge this week is buttons and bows, and we got to use our sponsors images for this one. Here's what I came up with...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2f5YouwRlUb5yQmXFF8C5oElLXhMLWRrswCOoixaBoko2kcy3m_dU_0-Xv_278N67xqauKrIMfmspRZwmSkkg1AYm38mBg69rT0cpZYbEUcVzs8x4Eztzg4RBpX1a7ySooDQntyvNmzs/s1600/Photo0249.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" s5="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2f5YouwRlUb5yQmXFF8C5oElLXhMLWRrswCOoixaBoko2kcy3m_dU_0-Xv_278N67xqauKrIMfmspRZwmSkkg1AYm38mBg69rT0cpZYbEUcVzs8x4Eztzg4RBpX1a7ySooDQntyvNmzs/s400/Photo0249.jpg" width="398" /></a></div><br />
I got my sewing machine out for this one as I missed the patchwork theme the week previous so thought I'd add a sniff of patchwork in with this too for good measure!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQhEMSxaV9OXNQwgiMtJdWFMtp7vbhzEMVikl8yte1ASkAGXaAR-Y_tMjEAKnDuE1pmOD73SE0YT-8g7fbL2nAcvL4jOYpJH8LK-yXOFzka2x1nwd8CnyuTPvnfgyUSxCgwJwJxTxm0-Q/s1600/Photo0251.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" s5="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQhEMSxaV9OXNQwgiMtJdWFMtp7vbhzEMVikl8yte1ASkAGXaAR-Y_tMjEAKnDuE1pmOD73SE0YT-8g7fbL2nAcvL4jOYpJH8LK-yXOFzka2x1nwd8CnyuTPvnfgyUSxCgwJwJxTxm0-Q/s400/Photo0251.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div>And here's a close up of the image. I've glitteres the ground, the frog and the raindrops and I've used gloss on the frog. Hope you like. I'm looking forward to the next challenge so hopefully get my mojo back for that one! <br />

I'm hoping this week away will perk me up a bit and respark my creative juices! Many thanks to everyone who has commented on my blog recently, and apologies if I've not made it over to your blogs this last week, I'll try to catch up when I get back. Love and hugs to you all, have a fab week and hopefully you will see me back in a weeks time. Love and hugs.<br />
Happy Crafting everyone.<br />

I had some lovely comments last week so thank you to everyone, as always they mean a great deal to me. I've not felt too well this week, nothing in particular just generally yucky. As a consequence the card I've made for CI this week is not finished how I would like. I'll come back to it with some embellishments when I feel more up to it, but this is what I've got so far. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip9CFDazRpWPoWeq_0_V_y7Uy9rEXn-RWYonIIReFg0VFAv-V7DB1IH7dq5OVzfZBuggJbDjwkiOjnfMSp7qebu9l1lAbRKW1B_ZkYSS-2djoAmL3eFrG0oJFDvfsdm9sUMuiKX491XBs/s1600/Photo0246.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="301" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEip9CFDazRpWPoWeq_0_V_y7Uy9rEXn-RWYonIIReFg0VFAv-V7DB1IH7dq5OVzfZBuggJbDjwkiOjnfMSp7qebu9l1lAbRKW1B_ZkYSS-2djoAmL3eFrG0oJFDvfsdm9sUMuiKX491XBs/s320/Photo0246.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Because it's still a working progress I'll not do a recipe as normal, but if there's anything you want to know I'll get back to you if you ask in the comments bit. Off for an early night now!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Take care, hugs and happy crafting!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Katy. xxx</div>Katyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15992401880038749221noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6104431737317652020.post-81779292562672240772011-01-05T08:00:00.000+00:002011-01-05T08:00:05.754+00:00Challenge card... 4 papers, 3 flowers, 2 ribbons and a button...Hi everyone, how is the new year treating you so far? I'm just keeping everything crossed that we don't get any more snow, we're booked for a week in London and have booked to see Blood Brothers (which I LOVE!) and Ghost Story for while we're there, I'd hate to miss out because of another snow storm! So keep your fingers crossed for us, we go Sunday 17th so hopefully we'll be ok!<br />
<br />
This week at Creative Inspirations there's a recipe challenge to follow: 4 papers, 3 flowers, 2 ribbons and a button, so here's what I came up with...<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlJZeQjWrkE12YRmLx4O160uOvOKqQc9J2xyCzE7Dwif9i8QGEHrf6hIyUYa4xGyq93QSsvn-pvD8RZdlLKJ3q-9pzAz6Z-wK0f5HhHqTYfCAHL-nd9A6laVAejHzbZ3vpwteEcHqvlmQ/s1600/Photo0239.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="383" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlJZeQjWrkE12YRmLx4O160uOvOKqQc9J2xyCzE7Dwif9i8QGEHrf6hIyUYa4xGyq93QSsvn-pvD8RZdlLKJ3q-9pzAz6Z-wK0f5HhHqTYfCAHL-nd9A6laVAejHzbZ3vpwteEcHqvlmQ/s400/Photo0239.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Caroline from CI sent me a couple of these Tildas for me to colour in, and now I definately think I'll buy her, she's fab to colour.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQNex75N9Mr_4rtuBCiGOiAuFLO20nrxoMXMPycjuwo0_KE9dOTXBBGW49mSubytg3_Wd5hNX7ePzrgGwzTvEcYFfuDmargs4cU98rAJlU6VK_vWS2AfnopJ6pNhOBB4KD2bxFofnfGA/s1600/Photo0241.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvQNex75N9Mr_4rtuBCiGOiAuFLO20nrxoMXMPycjuwo0_KE9dOTXBBGW49mSubytg3_Wd5hNX7ePzrgGwzTvEcYFfuDmargs4cU98rAJlU6VK_vWS2AfnopJ6pNhOBB4KD2bxFofnfGA/s320/Photo0241.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tilda's coloured with distress inks, and the corners are stamped with the grunge corner and splatter stamp form the grunge collection by Stempelglede - a Christmas purchase! (I got my set from BunnyZoes crafts but Quixotic paperie get them too)</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-A-gKHQZ1SfSvBXcr2HJFIY3MKNF0Ywm2Rf61N9J0GM2pokaH2xFZ2cgWzz012lQTa1CM9no52ojxrMCeKgNPUD_oe7AR6rbIwBnezHlt-Ui21Qxg4l3LZdfcq_PUN60-kTAUlycYsPg/s1600/Photo0242.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-A-gKHQZ1SfSvBXcr2HJFIY3MKNF0Ywm2Rf61N9J0GM2pokaH2xFZ2cgWzz012lQTa1CM9no52ojxrMCeKgNPUD_oe7AR6rbIwBnezHlt-Ui21Qxg4l3LZdfcq_PUN60-kTAUlycYsPg/s320/Photo0242.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The sentiment is from a mini sentiment set by Whimsy stamps (this one is from Quixotic paperie). I tried to make this look a bit like a rosette by adding ribbon and a button to it.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIb8TYR6Ra_4lLpxVlSN5B_jKWNj1ze0-L2OH331GHGHbQ86WoCbMrxEN9IYPHb9hdwd31Lrte2a2rhOtTN0HzdfPkVMqKStMHC20DmQ81ZsaUbhAP3KU91d1dzGxOe3ATTyPW_zxgSvw/s1600/Photo0243.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="319" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIb8TYR6Ra_4lLpxVlSN5B_jKWNj1ze0-L2OH331GHGHbQ86WoCbMrxEN9IYPHb9hdwd31Lrte2a2rhOtTN0HzdfPkVMqKStMHC20DmQ81ZsaUbhAP3KU91d1dzGxOe3ATTyPW_zxgSvw/s320/Photo0243.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Everything is edged in walnut stain. The papers are from the DCWV "All about Girls" paper stack.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you so so much for looking, and thank you to everyone who has left me comments over the last year, they have kept me motivated. I'm sorry I have not left regular messages with you all, I will endeavour to improve this year! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hugs. Katy. xxx</div>Katyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15992401880038749221noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6104431737317652020.post-20181696558799928692011-01-02T17:53:00.000+00:002011-01-04T20:49:19.845+00:00Happy 2011 everyone!Hi there! <br />
Did you all have a lovely Christmas? I wonder how many people other than us watched Avatar a few times over Christmas! We saw it in 3D at the cinema but every time you watch it you find something new that you missed the last time, definately one of my favourite films. <br />
Well, Happy 2011 everyone! I wish you all a fantastic year ahead filled with plenty of love, good health and happiness. I'm hoping 2011 is better than 2010, it seemed to be a year of disappointment! Lol!<br />
<br />
Just before 2010 ended, one of my colleagues and friend from university left work, so I thought I'd share the leaving card I made for her with you all today. <br />
Her favourite colours are pink and purple, so it's a very girly colour scheme!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2dHeJ1dwjt2bw3wxrsZW_zOHAqba_50qRB1Rsf33pQ7RMCgAprQEmzd-q9hF11FMplUEtGErQHS8h_9uOJtNeEJmQWcQfXnq_9a5gnssHxfn44H8XmP9BHkmTxeREdpVyaLn830pZai8/s1600/Photo0226.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2dHeJ1dwjt2bw3wxrsZW_zOHAqba_50qRB1Rsf33pQ7RMCgAprQEmzd-q9hF11FMplUEtGErQHS8h_9uOJtNeEJmQWcQfXnq_9a5gnssHxfn44H8XmP9BHkmTxeREdpVyaLn830pZai8/s400/Photo0226.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I've used "farewell Tilda" (what could be more appropriate?!) and stood her in front of the "open gate" which I've decoupaged on the circle like I did on one of the earlier challenge cards for a CI challenge. I found a doily which I think I've picked up somewhere while eating out (naughty I know!) and thought this might be nice behind. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilkT15cPILcfUY72JbPPMEIBAoYQGg4KDgXkv9EK8SlKmXCE3TqF8Ajuyj7gjsOBtKcorTi5DKxfbPRJpkReNLV1LlmP_bFxLjpPMdndKsdl724YMiWfMG3wZJso5GXCycwsT8ndlR0BI/s1600/Photo0228.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEilkT15cPILcfUY72JbPPMEIBAoYQGg4KDgXkv9EK8SlKmXCE3TqF8Ajuyj7gjsOBtKcorTi5DKxfbPRJpkReNLV1LlmP_bFxLjpPMdndKsdl724YMiWfMG3wZJso5GXCycwsT8ndlR0BI/s400/Photo0228.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tilda and the background are coloured with distress inks. There's crackle glaze on her boots and stickles on her pocket, hankie and her tear, as well as beneath her feet. I've layered the decoupaged flowers in front of her for added depth and put small pearls in some of the flower centres. </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxZGPYIiNLbij68JaOIEdJq-oG7sOnpdskQMPfhuDAfh51yVO_Ve7561AMmrmF6yQieLe7Q2RuDGyDRM57B-qM1gGmYQaCwOBf4iCS_P-DqXryW7NBcHQQDaAI79ue4IQRU9tJ_lhSBBU/s1600/Photo0233.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxZGPYIiNLbij68JaOIEdJq-oG7sOnpdskQMPfhuDAfh51yVO_Ve7561AMmrmF6yQieLe7Q2RuDGyDRM57B-qM1gGmYQaCwOBf4iCS_P-DqXryW7NBcHQQDaAI79ue4IQRU9tJ_lhSBBU/s400/Photo0233.jpg" width="303" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The tassle pulls out a blank square piece of card so everyone at work could sign it for the extra personal touch. </div><br />

I hope Santa has been good to you all and that your stockings were bursting with Christmas goodies! I'm looking forward to lunch and a glass of prosecco today (yum!). I know I'll be feeling ill with gorging myself on parsnips later but it's worth it! <br />
<br />
I thought I'd share my last Christmas card with you today, it's another one I'm quite pleased with compared to my normal efforts!<br />
<br />
I've used Tilda with Heart for this and she's just gorgeous. I thought I'd go back to my favourite paper set for DCWV for this one so stuck to browns and blues. At the top I used MS doily punch, and then cut some little tabs so I could hang a little heart charm off to mirror the image. The flowers are all from wild orchid crafts and I just LOVE these small flat gardenias in this colour, think I'll be getting more of these soon!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX44daoqZAyGwW0q52qCwCXsdCybRIHHZzdsCg0-6UYU66YQPN4zrczNxBE-mFBGjM7EtwwfghvRnxgG8QkB8kGOg185uZbwgUFnPx8OOU10dDbYgGXIDIGq5nNNXK0BnzJ37OAFe8Dac/s1600/Photo0213.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="383" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiX44daoqZAyGwW0q52qCwCXsdCybRIHHZzdsCg0-6UYU66YQPN4zrczNxBE-mFBGjM7EtwwfghvRnxgG8QkB8kGOg185uZbwgUFnPx8OOU10dDbYgGXIDIGq5nNNXK0BnzJ37OAFe8Dac/s400/Photo0213.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Tilda has been cut out at the bottom freehand and then with a cirlce die at the top. I've added a larger cirle behind covered in viva decor pearl pen (salmon). There's crackle glaze on the heart and stickles stardust on her wings. Around the larger cirlce I've added diampnd stickles. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I added some weathered wood distress paint before stamping the image. I've covered the label with viva decor pearl pen in salmon. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
